Please notify Director Meagan Guthrie if your organization plans to apply for any of these solicitations. Notification of application assists HC ARC with county-wide coordination, prevention of duplication of resources, and HC ARC can assist with application components, if needed.

OHIO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

  • NAMI Ohio - Rolling Deadline 
    • The Criminal Justice Coordinating Center of Excellence and NAMI Ohio collaborate to make Mini grants and scholarships available to Ohio CIT programs. Includes: CIT Patrol Officer Training Course, Advanced-Refresher-Role-specific Trainings, CIT Scholarships, and Lived Experience Stipends
  • Ohio Commission of Minority Health - Rolling Deadline
    • Increase the focus of minority health disparities and or chronic diseases such as, but not limited to cancer, diabetes, substance abuse, violence, lupus, infant mortality, or cardiovascular disease. These activities must reach and impact Ohioans from no less than two counties, and have a focus on racial and ethnic populations.

Foundation and local 

  • The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center - Deadlines Vary - Support will be provided through cost-free, intensive TA to develop a diversion initiative focused on alternative responses to law enforcement contact for youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis, including a behavioral health or family conflict.
  • CareSource - Community Grants & Signature Grants - Deadlines Vary
    • Nonprofits that are working to eliminate poverty, provide much-needed services to low-and moderate-income families, encourage healthy communities, develop innovative approaches to address critical health issues, and enhance the lives of a diverse array of children, adults and families.
  • Arnold Ventures - Rolling Deadlines 
    • Our giving centers on issues in Criminal Justice, Health, Education, and Public Finance, and is guided by Evidence-Based Policy, Research, and Advocacy.
  • Hanley Family Foundation - Rolling Deadlines
    • Funding will support eligible organizations whose primary activity is the operation of treatment programs to help individuals recover from alcoholism, drug addiction, and other forms of SUD.
  • Gary Sinise Foundation - Rolling Deadlines 
    • Grants are reserved for Law Enforcement Departments, Fire Departments, and Paramedic or EMS departments. Grant request are limited to Equipment and Training only. Building costs, or operating costs are not covered under this grant.
  • Cigna - Deadlines Vary
    • The purpose of this program is to supplement existing mental health programming and help close gaps both inside and outside of the school environment to address loneliness, anxiety, depression, and suicide prevention. Funding will be provided for efforts that foster collaboration between stakeholders, including school administrators and teachers, clinicians, and local and national nonprofit organizations, to address mental health and emotional well-being challenges for children.
  • The Commonwealth Foundation - Rolling Deadlines
    • The Commonwealth Fund supports independent research on health care issues and makes grants to promote better access, improved quality, and greater efficiency in health care — particularly for society’s most vulnerable, including people of color, people with low income, and those who are uninsured.
  • Robert Wood Foundation - Rolling Deadlines 
    • This funding opportunity seeks proposals primed to impact health equity moving forward. We are interested in ideas that address any of these four areas of focus: Future of Evidence; Future of Social Interaction; Future of Food; Future of Work.
