Purpose:

To act as advocate, provider and facilitator for the full range of public and private resources, programs and policies which give low- to moderate-income individuals the opportunity to improve the quality of life for themselves, their families and their communities.

Establishing Authority:

CAA Board bylaws.

CAA's Board Chair or its President/CEO will notify the President of the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners when a new Board member is needed. While the Board of County Commissioners passes a resolution recommending the new member, it is ultimately the CAA Board of Directors that elects individuals to its Board of Directors.

Composition:

The Board of Directors of the CAA is composed of representatives from three sectors of the community: at least one-third low-income residents, one-third public officials or their representatives, and the remainder from the private sector. A total of no more than twenty-one (21) and no less than fifteen (15) persons serve on the CAA Board. Board members shall serve a term limit of three (3) years and no member can serve more than two (2) consecutive terms, and additionally public officials and their representatives’ terms end when the corresponding public official is no longer in office. After serving the maximum time allowed, a person may again serve after being off the Board of Directors for one year.

Meetings are held the fourth Monday of the Month (6 times per year), 5:30 PM at the CAA, 1740 Langdon Farm Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45237 (or by Zoom).
